My girls are getting so big. At this point my youngest is the only one willing to take pics with me that I'm allowed to share on social media. My eldest has nicely asked me to refrain from posting her 😩 and of course I respect her wishes. Has your child/children asked you not to post them on social media? I want to hear about it.

No one can set up house better than my sister. Look at this fabulous tree! I've been obsessed all season and just had to show it off ...and trust me she's got more than just this tree going on...she's got a hot chocolate station and an insane centerpiece and runner on her dining table plus a fully wrapped front door in red ribbon with holly and mistletoe! I just can't but I love it! She's all about making the Holidays feel extra special for all of us but mostly the kids. ❤️❤️🎄🎄

There's nothing like spending the holidays with family. Our hectic schedules and just surviving life most times doesnt give us the grace to just be... much less to just be with each other. I hope your Christmas was filled with love and cheer like mine. 🎄🎄🧑‍🎄🧑‍🎄🎁🎁

Can you tell I'm still basking in my graduation glory?! 🎓 😂 Let me tell you, going back to school when you are ladened with so much responsibility is no easy feat and I can admit that there were days and nights when I cried real hard and long tears because the work was so hard it was overwhelming. It took courage and tenacity to see this degree through because at times I wanted to quit.

Nevertheless, I pressed on and it wasn't all bad. I am someone who enjoys learning and I am so glad I made the decision to do something that challenged me. As a marketer for many years and also having dabbled in different businesses here and there I always felt the need to understand the world of business and how it all fits into the bigger world. Who would have thought I would ever understand Finance, Economics and Accounting?

My favorite part of this program though were my leadership courses which really opened my mind to how forward-thinking, people-focused leaders can change the workplace and even the world. I look forward to leaving my mark in this space and I hope I can inspire our future leaders especially our female leaders. Cheers to life, success and purpose!

🎓 10 Years in the Making! 🎓

In 2012, I took the first step toward earning my Master’s degree when I was accepted into the NYU Corporate Communications program. I was filled with excitement, ambition, and hope. But life had other plans. Around the same time, I got married, and what should have been a supportive partnership turned into a nightmare. My ex-husband was abusive and controlling, and I tried his best to stop me from going back to school.

As fate would have it, I soon found out I was pregnant. The stress of the relationship and the demands of becoming a new mom became overwhelming, and I had to take a step back. Despite my determination to finish, life kept throwing obstacles in my path.

For years, the unfinished Master’s hung over me like a dark cloud. It wasn’t just about not having the degree—it was about the promise I made to myself, and most importantly, I felt compelled to finish what I had started.

Getting back into the NYU program was futile even with only 9 credits left to complete it, and so in 2020, and with the pandemic looming, I decided to pivot. I chose a path that challenged me like never before: a Master’s in Business Management @illinois1867 . With no prior experience in business, it was completely outside my comfort zone, but I knew it was the right choice to round out my career in marketing (which I am pretty darn good at might I add). It took me four years of juggling classes, a full-time job, and being a mom and partner, but here I am—finally graduating. THANK YOU, LORD. I DID IT!

To those who feel stuck or defeated, let my story be a reminder: It’s never too late to rise above adversity and reclaim your path. Your dreams are worth fighting for, and so are you. 💪🏽

Here’s to breaking barriers, building futures, and proving to ourselves that we can do hard things. 🖤

So many of us are grappling with a mix of emotions—shock, disappointment, and, yes, fear for what lies ahead. Yet, in the midst of these feelings, I find myself filled with gratitude and pride for everything you brought to this race: grace, strength, and boundless resilience.

I am choosing to say your name today—loud and proud. You have shown us what true leadership looks like, and you’ve brought us closer to a future where justice, equity, and compassion prevail. Your courage in facing down the barriers of racism, sexism, and hate has brought us a step closer to breaking the glass ceilings that have hovered above us for so long.

As a mother, I feel so proud that my daughters, at just 8 and 10 years old, had the chance to witness a candidate like you—graceful, educated, poised, and grounded in experience and kindness.
